How Long Does The Beyonce Dance Class Last?

The whole session takes 90 minutes. That might seem like a fair amount of time, but it will quickly drift on by when you’re all laughing having fun. This is why we recommend big groups making sure they arrive on time.

Is there a minimum number of people?

Yes, considering the nature of the class, we do require a minimum of 8 people, or the payment to match this. This is why it often proves popular as a hen do activity.

Is there a particular dress code?

Not as such. We generally recommend wearing something comfortable that you would normally wear to the gym, as you need to be able to move freely and be flexible. As you can imagine, this stretches to your shoes, so no high heels. However, please feel free to wear the Single Ladies costume or any other fabulous Beyonce costume you fancy putting on!

Can we do this for our hen do?

100%! In fact, this is most commonly booked for hen parties. It is a great activity for large groups and helps to break the ice if not everyone has met before. This is also a brilliant day time activity before all the drinks start.

Will we learn the moves to Single Ladies?

How could we call it a Beyonce dance class without teaching you the moves to Single Ladies, it’s a personal favourite here in the office! If you let us know beforehand if there are particular dances you would like to learn, that can help us to adjust the class to suit you, but we know the vast majority is for Single Ladies. You can then request the song when you reach the club and all get in a line to perform in front of a crowd!

Where will the class be held?

This will depend on where you’re booking the activity for, but it will always be held in a private room, so you don’t have to worry about others seeing you. This will normally take place in a venue such as a dance studio, a bar or a club. However, if you already have a venue hired out, our dance instructors can often come to you, which can prove popular for some hen do’s.

How did Beyonce learn to dance?

We might see her as the queen of confidence, but growing up she was a shy girl who often struggled to come out of her shell. At 7 years old, her parents wanted to tackle her insecurities, so they signed her up to a dance class to help her make new friends. But what they didn’t expect was how much confidence she would extrude as she took to the stage! As they say, the rest is history.

Who choreographs most of Beyonce moves?

The most common choreographer and the one that orchestrated the legendary Single Ladies is JaQuel Knight. While we cannot bring along the professional who created the entire dance set, we can mirror those lessons and teach you to dance like Beyonce.

Does this suit a particular age group?

As long as they are able to dance along then this is a perfect activity for all age groups. Of course, if certain members get a bit more tired as the class progresses, they’re welcome to take a seat and have a break and join back in when they feel comfortable. There will be no pressure from our instructor to push them if they don’t feel comfortable.

Can we get a photo of us?

While we don’t provide a photographer, you are more than welcome to ask our dance instructor to take a photo at the start or the end of the class, or even during if you wish. Just the same, once you’ve learned the moves, at the end of the class you could give your camera/phone to the instructor and they can video you performing the moves. This is always great as a brilliant memory to look back on your hen party or birthday activity.
