Local Sights and Attractions
Manchester isn’t short of sights and attractions I can assure you. A good place to start exploring Manchester is Castlefield, the industrial and roman heart of Manchester. A trip on the Bridgewater canal is something you will want to consider before exploring the rest of Manchester. A stroll down Castlefield will have you getting lost in a wonderland of shops, restaurants and cafés which all have roman history. Also, within the centre of Castlefield stands the Castlefield Gallery that is small but quite influential. It houses art pieces from young, new and talented artists. At the top of the list of attractions, of course is the iconic Theatre of Dreams, Old Trafford, home to the Red Devils, Manchester United. Even if you’re not a football fan this is an attraction that you should want to visit. Just located on site of the world oldest railroad station, the Museum of Science and Industry is a great way to learn about Manchester’s industrial history dating all the way back to Roman times.
